When I look upon your face
All I see is my disgrace
A love unfounded
A heart displaced
There was a time this was not so
But it has passed as the wind does blow
In a different light
I may not seem to be in this plight
But none the less
It hurts as if had pierced my breast
A sword hidden in the night
Disguised by my blinding fright
The way in which I head
Is hidden by my dread
Should I turn aside and leave it be?
Or continue on and see what I see?
Take the path towards the one I hold dear?
And risk seeing all that I fear
Or take the unknown road
And hope to find Theseus’ twine
A risk I must take
But a choice I dare not make
When I look upon your face
All I see is my disgrace
A love unfounded
A heart displaced
There was a time this was not so
But it has passed as the wind does blow
In a different light
I may not seem to be in this plight
But none the less
It hurts as if had pierced my breast
A sword hidden in the night
Disguised by my blinding fright
The way in which I head
Is hidden by my dread
Should I turn aside and leave it be?
Or continue on and see what I see?
Take the path towards the one I hold dear?
And risk seeing all that I fear
Or take the unknown road
And hope to find Theseus’ twine
A risk I must take
But a choice I dare not make
